Join us for the LFFF 2013 afterparty on Saturday 30 November from 7pm until 3am for live music, poetry, art, partying, and the LFFF 2013 Awards!
We’ll be handing out awards for Best Feature Film, Best Short Film, and the Feminist Favourite Audience Award.
Bridget Minamore will be performing some of her amazing feminist poetry.
Claudine O’Sullivan‘s artworks, produced as part of an awareness campaign on domestic violence in collaboration with Southall Black Sisters, will be on display. Claudine observed and led weekly art based workshops with the Southall Black Sisters domestic violence support group. Over a series of sessions she produced this campaign, documenting the different group members through sketching and note-taking. The campaign is based around highlighting the group’s culturally and personally charged perceptions of ‘honour’ as discussed openly at the weekly sessions.
London musician Faith Taylor will be playing some of her beautiful songs.
Hatty and Sophie will be singing their songs, accompanied by their guitar and accordion.
DJs Alison King and The Vinyl Library will be spinning tunes to get you in the mood for dancing.
Artist Josie Rae Turnbull will have some of her artworks on display at the party.
And we will also be joined by many of the filmmakers and panellists who helped shape LFFF 2013.
Tickets are just £6 each include a free glass of wine!
The Arch Gallery is housed in a beautiful Victorian railway arch built in 1872. It has a fully stocked bar and they will also be serving their delicious Thai food.
Join us for networking, music, and partying! We have limited availability for the party so don’t delay – buy your ticket today!
Venue: Arch Gallery, Railway Arches, 289 Cambridge Heath Rd, London, E2 9HA. The gallery is a short bus ride, or 15 minute walk, down the road from Hackney Picturehouse. (NB. If you’re looking it up on Google Maps you’ll need to put in Arch Gallery, Railway Arches, as it brings up the wrong address if you just put 289 Cambridge Heath Road!).
